What You Can Expect

Start your full-day tour with pickup from hotels in downtown Cancun and the Hotel Zone. En route to Chichen Itza, you'll make a stop at the Real Mayab Hotel, located in Valladolid. Relax with a stroll through the lush gardens, browse arts and crafts at the gift shop, and find tranquility in the meditation zone or a traditional temazcal (Maya sweat lodge).

Lunch is served in the on-site restaurant featuring Maya cuisine and authentic Yucatecan gastronomy like cochinita pibil (savory pork slow-roasted in banana leaves).

Then it's onward to the archaeological ruins of Chichen Itza for a guided tour. Walk to monumental structures such as the Pyramid of Kukulcan, aka El Castillo (The Castle), and learn about the significance of the ancient Maya architecture.

Afterward, take a refreshing dip at Ik Kil, a popular cenote located about 1 mile (3 km) away. The perfectly circular open sinkhole boasts a width of 196 feet (60 meters) and a depth of about 130 feet (40 meters), making it one of the largest cenotes on the Yucatán Peninsula.

​The colonial town of Valladolid is the last stop on your tour. Visit the 16th-century cathedral rebuilt in 1703, before returning to your Cancun hotel.
